Littlehampton lone angler

I was amazed looking out of the window this morning to see a lone angler sea fishing. Big waves were coming in and he was just standing there casting. I've never seen an angler there before. They're sometimes up by the river mouth but not over by the cafe. It's not far from where S and I found a dogfish (small shark) washed up so maybe it's an area where fish are pulled nearer the shore in the high tide.
