Stott Park Bobbin Mill

Out on a field trip today learning what wonderful resources there are for schools in South Lakeland. A morning at Kendal Museum to get hands on with stone age and Roman artefacts and Kendal Archives to see Wainwright's papers and then time at Stott Park Bobbin Mill to see heritage in action. A place I've been meaning to go to for years and never managed! Fascinating to see how they have preserved part of Cumbria's industrial heritage that had links to the mills of Lancashire and Yorkshire. I thoroughly recommend all 3 places if you love history! Shame the Mill is now shut until April the 1st
