the depth of fields

I love the way wide-angle landscapes seem to naturally separate into horizontal bands like this, especially when something isn't there to dominate the foreground. Fingers-crossed, the fields will remain unflooded now and toes-crossed the cows will still be roaming in a few weeks (it took a fair while for the surrounding farms to recover from the terrible foot & mouth cull a few years ago - and even longer for the winds to chance and stop wafting over the mild stench from the burning pyres in the adjacent village).

(Whilst looking ont'web for a foot&mouth link (which I couldn't find) I came across this.)

After a lazy breakfast of poached eggs on toast ('fit food' as lady sp33d calls it) we eventually meandered out the door to post the recycling gunk in the bottlebanks, after which we enjoyed a spot of curtainblindpurchasing before eventually calling in on my mum to share a late 3 o'clockish lunch and a chitchat.
