Making Paperweights

We spent the day with Ali Hoagland and Will Stokes making glass paperweights. We had a blast. There were nine of us: Arvin, Helena, Lynda, John, Dave, Steve, Jason, Meghan and me. We all got to make at least one paperweight and Lynda, Helena and I got to make two. Every single one of them was really beautiful. This was Arvin's and my Christmas present to everybody. And it was a good one! We will get the paperweights to keep tomorrow when they have cooled in the annealing oven. Will and Ali are bringing them over to our New Year's Eve party and the celebration of Arvin's 80th birthday. In the photo are Arvin, Lynda, Ali and Helena.
