Huddersfield 1947

A4 approx - water colour.

Painted by my father, this image
is the view from his digs in 1947 when he was working as a hospital doctor in Huddersfield. He had just been demobbed from the RAF. He'd been stationed at the fighter station at Biggin Hill during the war.

As a child I was mesmerised by this painting and even now it has magic that probably only I can see. I know it's technically not very good - far too heavy, but I struggle to see it objectively.
