Is it ever going to end?

Edinburgh's roads have been in chaos for what seems decades, and what in fact has been a couple of years.

This is as a result of a £500m project to create a tram link between the east and the west of the city; a project that, so far, has failed to attract the enthusiasm of the local residents.

I confess I'm not filled with anticipation at the prospect, though I'm willing to be proved wrong if it one day turns out to be the best thing that's happened to the city. In the meantime, though, I join the ranks of every local resident I've spoken with in wishing the whole thing could at long last be finished with!
