Remembrance Sunday

This is a photo of my maternal Grandfather (seated right) with two of his fellow soldiers.

He fought in the first war but I'm not sure exactly where. Although he was injured, mercifully he returned home.

He subsequently married and had two daughters but rarely spoke of his experiences

Sadly, we never knew each other.
