Deborahs' pot party

Happy to be invited to an open studio afternoon. Lovely to relax and natter about the practicalities of crafts with likeminded folk. Rather envious of Deborahs' dedicated garage workshop. We had a go at BBQ-ing a pot, wrapping bisque fired clay in straw and woodchip, baking it in a garden incinerator to produce a scorched, smoky pattern. When cooled, the pot will be wax polished to make an enduring finish.
