Linhope Spout

The day started with a delicious American breakfast (pancakes, bacon and maple syrup washed down with coffee) cooked by Tom.

Then we (Mr M, Lu, Tom and I - and, of course, Louie) set off to the Ingram Valley for a walk to Linhope Spout. It was a much shorter walk than Mr M or I had remembered it, but worth going again - this time the waterfall was much more impressive as it's rained quite a lot recently, and the late autumn colours were glorious! Plenty warm enough for a picnic by the stream.

We had time for a second short walk - up to Ros Castle to watch the sun set over the Cheviot.

Then on to Wooler for a meal at Milan, an excellent Italian restaurant. Methinks we'll be going back some time!
