Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red.

Created by ceramic artist Paul Cummins and stage designer Tom Piper, Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red is a commemoration of the United Kingdom's entry into the Great War a century ago.

We were unprepared not only for the sheer scale of the installation, but the incredible amount of people making a pilgrimage to the Tower of London to see the 888,000-plus ceramic poppies filling the moat.
