Cutlery #3. Corkscrew

This was my grandfather's corkscrew. Unlike modern corkscrews, it has lovely deep threads that get into the cork and grip tightly. You still need to pull it though which doesn't always work (particularly on plastic corks) and I have to fall back on a more modern utensil.


Or buy wine with a screw cap!

Bit of a nightmare day. Sending some guys off on a job and just happened to notice a twitter feed that said the site was flooded! Nice of the garden stuff to call us! So a day spent trying to contact someone in charge to rearrange. A lot of executive decisions were made today by me!
