Chilling at Champi

After visiting the 'DisneyLand' of waterfalls as our first stop where bus loads of tourists arrive, take a few selfies, buy some tat and move on, I was unsure as to whether these falls would be the same having heard that they were very beautiful (i.e. prime tourist trap). The track leading to the top of the falls was about 2km long, consisting of mud which had turned into a surface much like ice- not fun on a bike! This short extra distance seemed to be enough to put the masses off. This picture was taken from the small wooden bridge that crosses the river that comes off from the base of the falls. We were able to swim in the large pool below, walk behind the waterfall and enjoy this amazing place with not a single soul to join us!
