Back to reality

After spending 4 days on a remote and basic island, it was a little bit strange being back on the mainland, especially in a place like Sihanoukville. I'd had it described to me as a 'shithole' before I even left the UK. Amongst all the overpriced run-down bars and food places is Sandan, a restaurant owned by a charity who run a few famous restaurants around Cambodia.

I went with an American guy I'd met on Crusoe Island and we ate some seriously good Khmer (Cambodian) dishes for only a few dollars. I splashed out $7 and had 3 half portions of scallops, beef salad, and squid with local Kampot pepper.

P.S. Sorry it's another food shot, I didn't find much else worth photographing.
