Flooded tree, Derwentwater

Really wet morning, although the weather forecast suggested that the rain wouldn't arrive until after lunch. We were close to giving up on the photography and finding a tea room, when the rain stopped, and we had a great afternoon. I've always liked this tiny tree, though it usually sits atop a pile of rocks. The high water levels meant it was just flooded enough to hide most of the rocky outcrop, apart from the bit on the right.

I used a little stopper (6-stop ND filter) to smooth out the ripples in the water and give it an almost metallic feel
