Mono memories

The Brunner Mine Site is a reminder of the death and destruction that occurs when mining goes wrong. This is just up the road from where I grew up and so we spent a lot of time there exploring over the years. Pretty much every time I head home I stop to photograph something at this heritage site. Many miners have died on the West Coast in mining accidents and it is still happening today. Pike River is still fresh in the minds of West Coasters even now. RIP all miners who have passed in mining accidents over the years on the West Coast of the South Island.
