Lost in reflection...

I managed to escape for a couple of hours walk this afternoon, after the heavy rain had cleared. The light was dazzling, showing off the autumn colours to perfection, and to cap it all, there was a beautiful sunset. This duck was gently dozing on the water, oblivious of the beauty all around it.

The boys have all gone out to some friends' house tonight - they're planning to cook a meal together, so for once it's just Pete and I at home. However, we won't be living it up as we're off early in the morning for a bit of an adventure, so need to be in bed at a sensible time!
