Local History

Alexander went for a haircut, where he outright asked for biscuits and sweets (it becomes clear why he is so keen to go along now) so he could look smart for his nursery photos. We walked along the canal and had a conversation about the locks and how they worked and what the canal was for. He seems quite interested in science things at the moment...
He subjected a poor bloke on his lunchbreak to a benevolent version of the hairdryer treatment when we had to share a table in the caff. Then he had his photos taken but they were a bit disappointing in the end, I don't think I'll buy any - they were nicely posed but look nothing like him. He was jumping around while he had them taken but for some reason she hasn't included any of those in the proofs... maybe she thought I wouldn't want them?!
