The weather

The weather rules New Zealand. We're a long skinny country that reaches down into the start of the Roaring Forties.

Spring is when our long skinny geography intersects most keenly with the prevailing westerly flow across the country.

All of which is a long winded way of saying my little country has seen a fair amount of weather today.

It's looks deceptively benign here, but it's a mere pause between gusts. I've timed my time preparing garden beds and weeding and tidying the Roma garden depending on the wind today.

It's blown a gale, been simply windy and even had calm periods. It hasn't beaten me though and it's ready for planting.
