The start of something special...

A complete privilege to spend part of my day with an amazing new group of young volunteers we are supporting as part of our partnership work with Police Scotland.

The group were holding their inaugural meeting at the Police Scotland college at Tulliallan. It's a pretty historic event as this is the first group of its kind to be working with the police in this way. They will be involved in discussions at the highest level on strategy and policy, and how the service in Scotland can listen to and involve young people more.

It's something we've been working on for some time so it was a real "shiver down the spine" moment to see them all together for the first time, eager to get started!

This picture is just a tiny part of the "visualisation" of the day, where our multi-talented and exceptional star doodler Lisa was recording the key points from the inputs and discussions. It's a great way to record the richness of the sessions.

Sadly I had to head off before the horses and dogs arrived for a visit - but from all the tweets I've seen they were a major highlight!
