Portland

Started the day by walking up to the Japanese Gardens in Washington Park. We got to enjoy the view of Mount Hood in the clear sky.

We then walked downtown checking out some of the well-known buildings of downtown Portland, walking past the court, city hall, Portland art museum etc. And then we had lunch at a restaurant famous for its crayfish.

We then spent the afternoon doing some tax free shopping (thank you Oregon) but sadly I didn't get anything.

On the walk back to the hostel we got hot chocolates from Cocoa that had been highly recommended to us by someone from the hostel.

In the evening we went to see the Trail Blazers play Charlotte Hornets. The Trail Blazers won 102-100. Charlotte nearly equalized in the last second, the refs had to look at a slow motion replay to confirm that the ball hadn't left his hand in time. All very dramatic.
