We've a Lady Mayor!

We did sit here tonight waiting on the count, arguing, then agreeing (in principle), then locking horns over a technicality and arguing a bit more, then agreeing to disagree, then refilling our glasses and having a snack, all the while sort of arguing but being friendly due to the velvet richness of the gorgonzola wrapped in a roasted red pepper with steamed mint leaves.

But then once we'd sat down again we were right back into another heated debate about what she'd said and what she'd thought she'd said and what I'd thought she said and what the rest insisted she meant ...

... and then she won. ! !! !!!

By 89 votes! (she'd have won by 90 votes if Fred had done as he was told).

First Lady Mayor in this town! Ever!
