A play about Wilfred Owen

Another busy day. Shopping in the morning then a hospital visit in the afternoon when my daughter- in-law joined my son and I. Mum really enjoyed looking at photograph albums and it gave us something to talk about.

In the evening we went to see a play about the last days of Wilfred Owen the war poet who was born in Oswestry. It was a local am dram company and most of it was very good. A choir singing with words that we couldn't make out did give it the feeling of a school play though! There were lots of people that we knew which made it a good social occasion - one of the benefits of living in an area of low population!
