Misty willow

This is my favourite tree at the nature reserve - an old spreading Goat Willow. I've photographed it a number of times - covered in pussy willow flowers in spring with sheep lazing beneath it, covered in a hoar frost in winter. Today it was lost in the mist until I was quite close and made for an almost monochrome shot. It was a perfect autumn day for a walk in the valley, with slightly muffled bird calls, strangely heightened smells and lovely squelchy mud.
