Pittsburgh at Dusk

The beginning of our trip back for my F i l's 90th birthday party began with a stop first at an old dear friend living near the city of Pittsburgh---a college room mate who I had connected also with back during my Ohio trip in May of this past year. We stayed with her family for two nights to catch up, share some long walks and sights and energize for the family visit in rural western Pa.

We hiked all around the south park area of the city and then took in the sights from mount washington ---beautiful views of the city.

We thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with such dear friends from college days of the early seventies. I had roomed twice during our college time with Susie and so we had lots of great memories. All four of us shared some fun times back then and this trip we got to know her lovely young daughter and spend some fun time with her too. A wonderful start to the trip! More postings as time allows as I have much back here to do on the homefront!
