Route 56

3 miles. After leaving Sefton Park and crossing Ullet Road, I enter Princes Park via the rather grand Windermere Terrace and pick up signs for Route 56. This is a cycle route which has come from Chester and joins up with the trans Pennine route. It goes all the way to Penistone, wherever that is. A good deal further than my route, which has now gone through 3 parks and hardly touched a road with cars on it.
