Post Box

As this is a "GR" post box it must be over 60 years old at least. There are a few of this type about and a few sitting in walls with GR on them.

What I didn't realise when taking the Blip was that it was made by the Carron Company which takes me back to my youth as I probably passed the Carron Ironworks on average at least once a week for the first 22 years of life. One of my earliest memories is moving house in 1961 and being driven past the grand building.
Sadly like GR himself the Ironworks are no more.
