A little bit of autumn

A lot of the trees around the Scottish Parliament have lost all their leaves, but this one near one of the ponds still has a lovely autumnal display.

Today was the last day of Alex Salmond as Scotland's First Minister. It was an emotional afternoon as he made his final statement to the Chamber, which was greeted by a spontaneous standing ovation from the SNP MSPs. Tomorrow we elect a new First Minister.
