Another mystery tour!

We went to Durcal market in the morning to get some fruit & vegetables (they were very good value), then to Salobrena for lunch, before heading onto Pampaneira via Orgiva & Carataunas. We stopped in Pampaneira (one of a trio of popular and picturesque whitewashed villages, – like its neighbours Bubión and Capileira – hugs the steep slopes of a lush river gorge, the Barranco de Poqueira. Pampaneira is the lowest of the three, at just over 1,000m) for a walk around. I even managed to buy a few gifts, then we went on to Bubión & Capileira on the high road to Granada over the Sierra Nevada (the road is closed to traffic further on) the views were spectacular of Las Alpujarra valleys, even if the sheer drops along the road were vertigo inducing.
This is one of the typical sights in Pampaneira.
