A couple of bouts of illness from a dreaded kidney stone have kept me away from the studio, that and trying to paint the woodwork on the outside of my house before the bad weather really sets in.

So this small painting of a very big subject might still be wet when it gets hung on the wall for the Absent Voices exhibition which opens this coming Saturday at McLean Art gallery in Greenock. Who knows it may even be finished by then as well!
