Intrepid explorers

Another tick on the Must-Do list for J.

He's been agitating about doing the one-way trip all the way up to the top of Elkhorn Slough for a while. Finally, with the aid of his kayaking buddy L's truck, we managed to figure out the logistics, hired an additional kayak and paddleboard and set off.

Although the plan was to have the guys drive the truck they'd left at the top end of the Slough back to collect our car, and then come and get all of us, we were worried about returning the rentals late.

So, quite impressively, we got four kayaks, two paddleboards, all the paddles and kit and six people into L's truck to race back.

One extra tip to the kayaking dude later, and we're all eating fish and chips at Moss Landing :-)
