Unusual Christmas Tree?

I wandered past the market again this morning and this Christmas tree has appeared. Maybe it will look wonderful when it is finished but at the moment the best thing I can say about it is that to matches the blue screening on the scaffolding across the road.

For the last few years there has been an ice rink here at Christmas and I'm really disappointed that it won't be there this year. But there will be an ice rink elsewhere so I shall visit that one... without skates.
