Old Shoemaker's House

This Jugend style building was built in 1909 for the master shoemaker Pekka Kinnunen. He was rewarded for best ladies shoes in the World Fair in Paris. His company also produced boots for the Russian army before WW I. Nice achievements for a young man who arrived this town - without means - around 1890. (Text copied from my earlier blip).
