Bump, set, spike!

This year I'm coaching the grade 8 boys volleyball team again at my school. However, unlike the past few years when I had a very good and knowledgeable co-coach, this year I was on my own.

At the beginning of the season my boys couldn't bump the volleyball properly, but to my astonishment, we were able to sweep our way at the district jamboree where we won all our games. I'm incredibly proud of the boys, the way they worked through the shortened season, and the way they grew and trusted each other (they barely knew each other 4/5 weeks ago!).

That's why I continue to coach each term, no matter how full my plate becomes!
