SCARED NOW

I was sitting working quietly, when I heard a kinda scratching and tapping at the door. This went on for a while, and I went carefully round to the kitchen door where I could get a view of whatever was at the front door. A second later, a bird like this one flew out. WHY THE HELL WAS IT TRYING TO GET IN?

This bird was photographed 10 mins later on the bird feeder. Finally got round to breaking out my DSLR - Canon 30D and Sigma 28-300mm lens at 300mm. Not quite pin sharp - need to work up my camera steadying skills again.
