Devilled Eggs With Crab

Dare I say I think we may finally have shaken the stomach bug that has been plaguing us on and off for the past 3 weeks?

Tonight we went to dinner at Monocacy Crossing, because we couldn't park at Mangia e Bevi!

Our last visit was a bit underwhelming, so we were glad to see they had revamped the menu.

Here's our appetiser, Devilled Eggs With Crab. It was really good. I had pork tenderloin (because it came with scalloped potatoes) and Tom had the tournedos of beef. Again they were surprisingly good. We ended with a Chocolate Pot de Creme, the lightest (and least sweet) dessert they had.

Of course we asked if they had an espresso machine as we have a devilish sense of humour, knowing that none of the restaurants in Frederick (apart from Mangia e Bevi and Starbucks have one), although they pretend they do but "it's broken". 10/10 for creativity for Monocacy Crossing's excuse..... "We had a power surge and it blew up"..... yeah, right.

Anyway, despite the lack of good coffee, Monocacy Crossing is back on the list of restaurants we rotate for Thursday nights!
