Wine Tasting in Wanaka

This morning we enjoyed coffee in this beautiful small city, overlooking Lake Wanaka and gorgeous mountains in the background. I don't know of anywhere with a better view from a cafe. This could only be topped by our blip meet in the coffee shop with 5 wonderful local blippers, arranged by acyclinggranny, it also included Tussock Tales, Mumma Hen, Snow Down Under, and Kiwikath. Thanks so much Anne for setting up the meet. Gina and I had a great time.

So did I blip the beautiful scenery in this lovely setting? Not quite. This afternoon we visited two wineries and tasted the lovely Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, Reislings and a nice rose. Pictured here is Dan, our host at the Swallows Crossing Vineyards. We also visited the Ripon Vineyard, just a short walk from our B&B.
