Scott and the spinning top....

A relatively chilled day.

Plumber came round to check our boiler as we've had to play about with it every morning for a week to get hot water, as the pressure keeps dropping. Turns out there is a leak, as the manny discovered when he went to move a box of books and zines from under it.
Soaking. Several had to be thrown away, the rest are laid out everywhere, in a vain attempt to dry them out (and my knitting bag full of wool). Arse.

Anyway, once we had cleared everything and wrapped presents for tomorrow's party, we headed into town for a few hours.

First stop was Burger Meats Bun, followed by the Edinburgh Printmakers to see their Christmas Fair, then it was over to the Portrait Gallery. We had to push our way through the masses at the muddy St Andrew Square before relaxing in Waterstones, and then tackling the masses once again at the Christmas Market. Thankfully by then, it was getting dark, so I could try and get some shots of the lights. No tripod, although saw a few folk with theirs out.

A quick trip back to St Andrew Square for a gluhwein (with Amaretto to warm me up) in their bar, which, by the way, you have to access via bridges over the ice rink. No sign of disables access that we could see. There were folk carrying their buggies up and down the crowded stairs......cant see that that this is going to be the best idea in the long run - crowded, icy, dark, steep......
