Today was the funeral of my dear cousin K who passed away the other week aged just 50 years. A sad day but a kyndof nice one too in a way I can't really put into words, nor feel the need to.
At the after-service get together her younger sister and mother of my god-daughter passed her 6-month old 'new' daughter into the cuddling arms of my Gran, which made her teary eyed with happiness to be holding yet another great grandchild. It was a lovely moment that only myself and lady sp33d noticed, and one which we kept to ourselves.
Later this afternoon we went for a contemplative holdyhandswalk in the beltingly hot sun, eating melting ice creams over the Aquaduct.
