Light on the Loch

With lots of autumn sunshine today, I decided to visit Loch Ness. By the time I got there, the sunshine had gone and a bitter wind was coming off the loch. I managed a few shots and retreated to the pub. About fifty minutes later I came back outside to find that we had got some late sunlight on the water. It made all the difference.

Yesterday I suggested to PenisulaLight, a local blipper whose work I recommend, that photography 'was about composition and light.' 'And timing,' he answered. He was right, of course and occasionally a bit of luck is handy too.
