Dusk

This morning work continued on the kitchen. An early trip out to get cappuccino for us all in order to keep the workman happy. Work was finished by around lunch time so we headed out for a bit of a break.

We stopped for a coffee at the Milton craft centre at Crathes. By the time we came out, by which time I had consumed a nice piece of chocolate cake, it was already getting dark. One of the shops was looking quite festive so I tried to get a photograph. The camera was on the ground in order to get a low light but sharp picture. This accounts for the extensive foreground to the picture.

One of the few compensations for the short days is that evening photographs do not involve waiting around for the light to go. The trick is to catch the right moment. It was very overcast so there was no chance of catching a sunset.
