Swansea, Dylan Thomases, " Ugly, Lovely Town",

The image was taken to celebrate the 100th Birthday of the Welsh Poet, Dylan Thomas. I wanted to portray Swansea in the light of one of his most famous plays " Under Milk Wood". The image is reflecting an image of Llareggub with an emphasis on the darkened streets of the town, as envisaged by the blind Captain Cat. To get the right effect I wanted to take the image , not at night, but at dusk, when the lights were just started to show. Taken at 18.00 hours, on an evening in February, to obtain this effect.
