Restless

It was a gloriously sunny day here with a just a few puffy white clouds in an otherwise blue sky. But the sea was choppy and when I went to the coast at low tide I became fascinated by the way the waves swooshed and swirled over the exposed rocks. These shots were taken in rapid succession from the cliff edge as I pointed the camera far down below me at (more or less) the same spot.

The location is Needle Rock where in 1920 a ship was wrecked in a storm and all its crew save one were rescued through the heroic efforts of the lifeboat crew and a local farmer - see this previous blip.
