Last night at the London Jazz Festival

Two different jazz groups at the Barbican tonight. The first half very good, second half very pretentious and never ending. I turned to Jack and said "Will this never end?', not knowing whether he might think that they were marvellous. Fortunately he felt the same as me and as he is writing reviews on all the gigs he has seen over the last 10 days this will be the poorest. Late home!
