If you can't beat them...

Shrawardine

Pronounced locally Shrayden! Before setting off back to the far north P and I took Amy (the dog) for a walk through the fields and along the banks of the Severn to the nearest village. Shrawadine is a tiny village and considering how close it is to the A5 and Shrewsbury remarkably quiet.

This shot shows what in my opinion is the prettiest part of the village. The owner must spend hours trimming the hedges as they were immaculate and looked as if they could have been trimmed with nail scissors.

Also of note in the village are the remains of a castle built in the reign of Henry 1 and dismantled after the civil war and a small Church.

The run north was the complete opposite of my run down, bright sun and light traffic all the way!
