Migrant in Moscow

Night light

The blue light in this blip is a reflection of the lights along the commercial strip at Novy Arbat.  So nothing natural in that light.  The light faded early today and it was dark by 4.30 p.m..  I liked the street light at the top left and the reflection off the car at bottom. It added an additional albeit inadvertent urban context to the composition.

The building is the Church of Saints Athanasius and Cyril on Filippovskiy Lane.  A church was reportedly first built on this site at the start of the XVI century.  The structure has been through the usual timeline of events - wood, stone structures, sacked, rebuilt several times, often with private philanthropy, used as a dormitory and storeroom (post Revolution), and now restored again.
