The crazy day

Reuben loves fellow glasses wearers, especially when they're gorgeous girls! Here they are doing High Fives at the end of school.

I wanted to capture one day, but in the morning before I knew about the last minute test at hospital, I didn't realise how crazy it'd be.

Little slide show... life in the special needs community with a bit of art thrown in! I think this mini slideshow gives a good indication of a typically busy day. For me it makes fascinating watching and a great record of our lives today (today easier, just been to see 2 potential hard of hearing pre-schools for Reu for Age 3). I think too you can see that I still endeavour to nurture my creative side and keep that part of me alive and well.

- 1030 Bel Air camera and supplies shop
- 1045 Stan's Donuts in Westwood and Stan (he's been open every day and serving since 1965.. Reuben's school will often take the trolley bus down the hill to see him and how cute 8 little kids must look)
- Hammer Museum for Rachel Whiteread exhibition again (couldn't resist.. lightening quick visit)
- 1130 race back up hill with Callum
- 1145 circle time with Reuben and pick up from school
- 1200 lunch at El Pollo Loco

- 1340 2hr wait in pulmonary for appt, boys into dustbins and colouring (Reuben writes "A" for the 1st time)
- 1600 2hr flight simulation test for Reuben on higher levels of nitrogen and less O2. Reu freaks out 1/2 way thru poor love, another 30min til he calms and we can try something else. Nurse looking after Callum downstairs trying to entertain him all the while
- 1hr drive home
- arrive home 7pm, 3hrs too late for nurse who's supposed to leave at 4pm.. she's very understanding
- 2000hrs boys in bed

and he passed the test.. so hopefully that means no oxygen on the flight after trach comes out
