Low Tide on Sumner Beach

Very moody on the beach this afternoon and not long after this the heavens opened. I met some neighbours walking their dogs and after we'd stood around catching up on each other's earthquake repairs I arrived back at the motel drenched but very much refreshed.

There was another site meeting this morning with the contractors, supervisor and engineer. The net result was that the whole roof, and not just the garage roof, is to be replaced. It might be slow coming but they're doing it thoroughly - for which I'm grateful. It'll be at least another 2 months before I'm back in the house.
