Fireside

Today is the day the sky touched down and caressed the sea. Looking out of the window it is a grey oneness. So Baz knows the best place to be is on CMC’s lap, fireside. Knitting has commenced and home bakes will soon be on the go. We are venturing across to Hoy tonight on the early evening ferry. There is a talk in the Hoy Kirk to report the results of the archaeologists’ excavations in Rackwick during the summer. The evening includes a talk about wartime Lyness and slides from the images Karl Reid has built up over the past couple of years. We will then stay over in Hoy for the night.

After posting this Blip I’m off out to the shack to listen to Matching Mole. Very loud.
