Waiting my turn

Here is a (I think) female downy woodpecker, seeming to be patiently waiting for the chickadee to finish at the suet block. And right before these two showed up, a small red squirrel was helping itself to the suet. Luckily there was plenty for everyone. We had snow that started about 9:30am, I got home from work ok, and the snow kept up until well into the night, bringing about 6 inches altogether. Mr M had to work night shift, so he managed to plow the driveway before he left.

Riley loves the snow, he loves to plop down in it and then take bites of it into his mouth.
