Windblown Trees

What an effect the wind has had on these trees. Well seen they are near the sea with a Westerly prevailing wind.

I had intended taking a Blip today for my 100th but got caught up in the dreaded Christmas shopping.

There has been a huge change in the celebration of Christmas in my lifetime.
When I started work Christmas day was not a holiday in Scotland but was a normal working day.

The big celebration was Ne'erday. That is the New Year, which was seen in with a party in my Fathers house where everyone was expected to do their turn, helped on with some alcohol.

We, the Scots, have become Anglicised but at least we now have two excuses for celebration.
